Good civil protection practices on stage at the Suq Festival in Genoa

An awareness event for the foreign population

Locandina 26° edizione del Suq Festival di Genova

On Tuesday, June 18, at 5 p.m., the stage at Piazza delle Feste in Genoa Porto Antico will host volunteers from the Universal Civil Service project "Informati e preparati - Informed and prepared," promoted by the City of Genoa. The project aims to facilitate cross-cultural dialogue and promote the understanding of technical, scientific, and civil protection information.

The event, coordinated by volunteers, aims to educate the public about the importance of preparedness and the correct behaviors to adopt in the event of severe weather warnings or other natural disasters.

Short informational texts in multiple languages will be presented at the meeting, followed by a Q&A session.

The initiative stems from the idea of Ahmad Asadrokht, a Universal Civil Service volunteer. It is promoted by the Civil Protection Department of Genoa in collaboration with the University of Genoa.

The Suq Festival, founded in 1999 by Valentina Arcuri and Carla Peirolero, is one of Italy's and Europe's leading multicultural festivals. The festival serves as a genuine platform for integrating different cultures and languages through theater, music, food, and crafts.
