Civil Protection and Serie A join forces to promote the culture of risk reduction
Don't wait for a disaster to figure out what to do

Floods, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, tsunamis, and wildfires—Italy faces a wide range of natural and human-made risks. Yet, discussions about these risks often arise only after a tragedy has occurred. That's why the Serie A League and the Italian Civil Protection Department want to send an important message to football fans and supporters: the best time to prepare for a disaster is always as early as possible.
On Matchday 25, scheduled from Friday, February 13 to Monday, February 16, all Serie A Enilive teams will take the field to spread a crucial message that can help save lives during disasters. In every stadium, a video will be shown on the big screens, while on television, the message "Don't wait for a disaster to figure out what to do" will appear shortly before the start of each match.
The public is invited to visit www.iononrischio.gov.it/en to learn what to do before, during, and after a disaster. I don’t take risks is a public awareness campaign on good civil protection practices, highlighting the active role each of us can play in promoting prevention and risk reduction. It encourages taking action before a disaster occurs and knowing how to respond effectively, when every moment counts and the right choice can save lives.
The campaign is promoted and carried out by the Civil Protection Department in collaboration with ANPAS – National Association of Public Assistance, INGV – National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology, the ReLUIS Consortium – Network of University Laboratories of Earthquake and Structural Engineering, and the CIMA Research Foundation, in agreement with the Conference of Regions and Autonomous Provinces and ANCI – National Association of Italian Municipalities.
