In Monte di Procida, volunteers in the square for I don't take risks Campi Flegrei
The initiative aims to raise awareness on the volcanic risk of the area and promote correct behaviour among the population
On Saturday 26 August, from 10 AM to 2 PM, the volunteer communicators I don't take risks of the Falco Civil Protection will meet citizens on the seafront of Marina di Monte di Procida to give a local response to the widespread concern among the population about the seismic phenomena that have been affecting the area in recent weeks.
In the area near Acquamorta beach, where large crowds are expected over the weekend, an I don't take risks square will be set up to spread information on the characteristics of the Phlegraean area, the risks connected to volcanic activity, civil protection planning, and the correct behaviour to adopt for risk reduction.
The volcanic risk in the Phlegraean Fields has already been the protagonist, together with forest fires, of the national days of 20 and 21 May, during which I don't take risks squares were set up in the municipalities of the Phlegraean red zone. As provided for in the campaign's standard format, on this occasion only local volunteers who received specific training on the topics covered by the initiative took part in this activity.
